The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck
Let me start with a simple, counterintuitive truth: the desire for a more positive experience is itself a negative experience. The more desperately you want to be rich, the more poor you feel. The more you want to be happy and loved, the lonelier and more afraid you become. I call this the 'Backwards Law.' Our society constantly bombards us with messages to be happier, healthier, and better than everyone else. But this relentless pressure to 'be more' only reinforces what you feel you lack.
My point is to stop trying so damn hard. Stop chasing highs. The path to a better life is not through avoiding pain, but through accepting it. True confidence isn't about believing you're flawless; it's about being comfortable with your flaws. The key to a good life is not giving a f*ck about more; it's giving a f*ck about less, giving a f*ck about only what is true and immediate and important. When you stop chasing the butterflies of happiness, you might just find they land on your shoulder when you're not looking.
